HIPR 6060 – Basic Preservation Graphics

preservation-graphicsThis an introduction to basic architectural drawing techniquesused todocument existing structures and landscapes and techniques to present those drawings to a public audience. Techniques covered include hand graphics, digital drafting, and composition of digital and print presentation layouts. We will work with specialistsin each technique to learn the basics of how to present ideas graphically.

The class will create a set of architectural drawings for a portion of the Founders Memorial Garden and presentation layouts for these drawings. We will use a variety of techniques and tools to create these drawings and presentations, including hand drafting and computer aided design, editing, and layout software.
