Welcome
Two of the most critical aspects of the College are its Alumni base and our continued funding efforts. These aspects complement each other: Alumni involvement and support benefits the college, increasing the already considerable prestige of a CED degree. Whether it is garnering Alumni involvement at continuing education seminars, on- or off-campus socials, specific fundraising initiatives, or other events, the College is inherently sustained by Alumni & Giving. We aim to deliver the most informative and helpful communication to our Alumni, and hope you will reciprocate with your attendance, support and contributions to the growing College.
CED Alumni
All graduates of the College of Environment and Design, whether from the Landscape Architecture or Historic Preservation programs, are members of the CED Alumni Association. The CEDAA helps maintain contact between graduates with frequent events and occasional mailings.

Office of Development
Development is a term used in higher education to encompass fundraising, annual giving, and other financial initiatives of a college to maintain innovation and excellence. The State of Georgia currently supplies less than 34 percent of the public funds required to operate UGA’s annual budget. This means that more than 66 percent of funding comes from the private sector, which is why each college unit at UGA employs a Director of Development. Development professionals work on obtaining the “means to the end,” in securing private resources through alumni, friends of the college, corporations and foundations.

Ways to Give
Donors to the College of Environment and Design can support students through scholarship funds, faculty through endowed professorships, or areas of study through program support funds. Supporters of the CED who want their money to go wherever it is most needed can make a donation to the Dean's discretionary funds. For your convenience and security, both online and traditional donation methods are available.
