About CED
Currently enrolled in CED are 200 BLA, 56 MLA, 35 MHP, and 30 MEPD students. Students are engaged in small studio classes with numerous resources to provide personalized instruction and guidance. The education received is distinctively broad and adaptable to the interest of the individual students. The undergraduate landscape architecture degree is a 5-year pgoram with a requirement to complete an internship. All students have opportunities to study abroad in Cortona, Croatia, Costa Rica, China, Ghana and more. More locally, students can choose to spend a semester at the Covington Studio outside Atlanta for an urban studies experience. Gradute courses are 2- or 3-year programs that also have the opportunity to receive hands-on training with the College’s Center for Community Design & Preservation, which is partnered with local, national, and international government agencies and organizations. Above providing a highly ranked educational experience, the College assists students financially through graduate assistantships and approximately $70,000 of in-house scholarships from alumni, friends, and organizations.
Any firm interested in CED students are invited to contact us to either come on-site for interviews or post a position to our website and/or listservs. Firms also have the opportunity to review graduating student resumes on-line.
We also invite companies to send us information about their firms to develop student interest. Suggested information for circulation around classrooms are portfolios and information folders. Posters are also accepted.
