Annual Alumni Weekend

Alumni Weekend 2014 will be held March 28-29!

The UGA CE+D Alumni Association Steering Committee invites you to join us along with students, faculty and staff to celebrate our college’s roots and to applaud its accomplishments at The Annual Alumni Weekend.

Registration

Registration fees cover all lectures, materials, meals, and receptions as per the agenda for the pass purchased (Full Weekend, Friday, or Saturday). Please submit your registration by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 17. Cancellations made later than 5 days prior to the event will not be refunded. Note that those considered GUESTS are non-alumni

Alumni + Faculty Art Exhibit

For the first time, there will be an Alumni + Faculty Art Exhibit during the College’s Annual Alumni Weekend. The exhibit will be held in the Lumpkin House in the Founders Memorial Garden. If you wish to submit artwork, please note these parameters:

  • Please download, complete, and affix this exhibit form to the back of each piece of artwork
  • Artwork must be mounted or framed
  • Maximum 2 entries per person
  • Artwork must be received by CED by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014
  • Artist is responsible for shipping costs
  • Artwork pick-up is 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 29
  • Prior to the show artwork will be stored in flat files or shelves (dependent upon medium) in the Circle Gallery storage room.
  • Please consider donating your artwork. Artwork will be sold at a silent auction as part of the Garden Tea on Saturday, April 12. All proceeds will benefit the Founders Memorial Garden Endowment Fund.

CEUs for Alumni Weekend are valid in GA, NC, TN & AL.

Parking

Avoid parking hassels by staying in one of the hotels listed below! All are within walking distance of the Jackson Street Building, the Founders Memorial Garden, and downtown. If you do need to park on campus:

Friday - You must park in the North Parking Deck. Please remember to pick up a voucher at registration to avoid having to pay!

Saturday - You may park (for free) in any UGA surface lot where the gate is raised. The lots on Fulton Street between South Jackson and South Thomas Streets are closest to the Jackson Street Building. There is also one small lot in front of the North Parking Deck. The parking deck is still a pay lot from 7 a.m.–11 pm. on Saturday. No vouchers offered on Saturday.

Where to Stay

Blocks of rooms will be reserved at special pricing at the Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hilton Garden Inn, and Hotel Indigo. Please be sure to use the special pricing code when making your reservation. You must make your reservation by the indicated deadline to be guaranteed CED pricing. There may be limited availability at The Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Please call Audra Lofton (706-542-1816) for details.
