Welcome Alumni! All graduates of the School, whether from the Landscape Architecture or Historic Preservation programs, are members of the CEDAA. On these pages are various resources that will help you stay connected and involved with the CED, your fellow classmates, and the University of Georgia Alumni Association. We also host the CEDAA listserv for you to network with other Alumni and the College.
About the Office of Development
Development is a term used in higher education to encompass fundraising, annual giving, and other financial initiatives of a college to maintain innovation and excellence.
The State of Georgia currently supplies less than 34 percent of the public funds required to operate UGA’s annual budget. This means that more than 66 percent of funding comes from the private sector, which is why each college unit at UGA employs a Director of Development. Development professionals work on obtaining the “means to the end,” in securing private resources through alumni, friends of the college, corporations and foundations.
