Georgia LARE Review Description

Beginning in 1973, Neal Weatherly and T.G. Williams organized a comprehensive review to help practicing professionals pass what was then called the Uniform National Exam (UNE) for Landscape Architects. For over 30 years this tradition has continued, and today the College of Environment and Design at The University of Georgia continues to conduct review sessions for the Landscape Architecture Registration Exam (LARE).

Review Sessions

The College of Environment and Design, in conjunction with the Georgia Chapter ASLA, offer two LARE review courses each year for practicing professionals preparing to sit for the national Landscape Architecture Registration Exam. Each of the two review courses are structured differently: the spring section is designed for professionals preparing to take the exam for the first time; the fall section focuses on the graphic vignette sections.

Upcoming Review Sessions

The upcoming fall review session will be held on October 23rd-24th, 2009 in Caldwell Hall, on the campus of The University of Georgia. Registration will begin in August 2009. Please contact David Spooner for general inquiries about the review or to obtain registration forms. The LARE sections covered during the fall review are listed below.

Registration and Costs

To obtain registration forms and register for the either the Fall or Spring LARE Review, contact David Spooner. Registration typically begins two months prior to the date of the review. Early registration is recommended, as all seats are distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Costs associated with the review change from year to year. In past years, the cost for the entire review (all sections) varied from $325.00 to $375.00. Prices are per section and you only have to pay for the sections you need to take. ASLA Members are entitled to a $20.00 discount upon verification of membership.
