Charrette Schedule

Rocksprings Neighborhood, Athens GA | Feb 2nd and 22-24, 2013

We are partnering with the Athens Land Trust and the Athens Housing Authority to develop a conceptual master plan for the neighborhood in Athens bounded by Baxter Street, Rocksprings St, West Broad St and Evans St.  The neighborhood includes the H. T. Edwards Complex, a Boys and Girls Club, the Rocksprings public housing development, and historic vernacular residential resources.  Our charrette will build upon past analysis and solutions by CED faculty and students, and will begin by presenting ideas to neighborhood residents for feedback at a Feb 2 workshop.  Their response will help guide the scope of the charrette, in which we will compile best ideas into a comprehensive plan for neighborhood improvement.

LABASH design-build charrette, Athens GA | Mar 20-23, 2013

As part of the LABASH student landscape architecture conference hosted by CED this spring, there will be a volunteer design-build opportunity for a playground at a Habitat for Humanity apartment complex.  There will be opportunities for logistic support, design and installation.  Stay tuned for more details!
