Donnie Longenecker

Lecturer, Continuing Education Coordinator

Donnie Longenecker is a landscape architect, entrepreneur and educator. He has been a Lecturer in the College of Environment and Design. He has been teaching at CED since 2002 and has taught almost every course in the BLA curricula. In addition to his responsibilities as Lecturer, he is also Coordinator for CED Continuing Education Programs. These programs provide continuing education to over 150 landscape architects every year.
Contribution Outside of CED

When he is not teaching or hosting a continuing education event, Donnie serves as Director of Landscape Architecture for Sizemore Group Architects in Atlanta. He is responsible for overseeing landscape architectural services for a wide variety of public and private projects all over the southeastern US. Prior to working with Sizemore Group, Donnie’s firm DTC, provided planning, program and construction management for several master planned communities in 7 different southeastern states.

Specific Research Interest
Donnie’s research interests include the implementation of technology into landscape architectural practice and the economics of land development.
