Jenna Dotson

Student Ambassador

Hi friends! I’m Jenna Dotson and I’m going into my fourth year in the Landscape Architecture program at UGA. Coming into college, I was so sure that I wanted to go into the Fashion Industry in New York. While I was waiting to hear back from my dream school in the city, I stumbled across Landscape Architecture and it completely changed my plans. After touring the College and seeing everything the studio and the profession had to offer, I knew I’d have to stay in Athens for a few more years. And I am SO glad that I did.

Landscape Architecture is special industry because we get to design the beautiful spaces where people interact in ways that can help restore some of the planet’s natural processes. For me, it’s the perfect combination of design, logic/planning, and ecology. If you love any combination of creative design, planning, sustainability, horticulture, or construction, this just may also be the perfect place for you!
